Synopsis

Amre Kashaubaev - golden voice of Kazakhstan, selected to represent the Soviet Union at the International Competition crooners, preparing to leave. After saying goodbye to their relatives and friends in a village not far from Petropavlovsk, on the train, he goes on a long journey from Kazakhstan to France. Entering the contest stage performers in Paris, Amre understands that Europe - this is not what he had seen in the movies antipropoganda that showed him before leaving party workers.

LOGLINE

The story of a small-town Kazakh singer who journeys from Russia to Paris in 1925 in order to compete in an international singing competition, and along the way befriends American songwriter George Gershwin, thus forming a beautiful and unlikely friendship. Based on a true story.
